This complete renovation of a 160m² turn-of-the-century apartment in Stockholm centred on one idea: a kitchen fit for a family of four. The dated 1980s kitchen was expanded — absorbing the laundry room and part of the bathroom — into an open space with an island and dining area. Terrazzo unifies the kitchen and both bathrooms, while soft brown, beige and peach tones run throughout, and the original parquet was oiled darker for depth. A custom wall panel with shelving gives the family's art collection a central home, with remaining pieces spread throughout to add colour and interest.
